Is This Any Way To Run A High School?

While I have always been a strong supporters of athletic programs in high schools, I’ve felt that the weight given to football was out of proportion to its value to the school and that any game that required an ambulance in the end zone probably did not belong on a high school campus.

This morning’s version of NPR Morning Edition featured a commentary by long time contributor Frank Deford about the impact on another program that is affected by high school football.
