We’re Spreading The Word

When bringing out  our newly revamped version of  Thetapeworks.com web site, we were pleased to introduce you to the Arts Department students at Northwood High School who helped us put this site together.

As the end of the school year nears,  Nortwoods Arts students and alumni  are really making a news in the awards arena.

Some of the kids who appear in the photos at Thetapeworks.com are headed for Governor’s School, one of the highest honors a North Carolina high school student can earn.

The photographer who took all the “smiling faces” photos for our site, Charlotte Harrison,  has had her work recognized by our local Congressman, David Price, and it has been entered into a competition for photos that will appear in the White House.

Three Northwood Arts Alumni have been honored by East Carolina University as they wrap up their senior year.

Chris Minor got the Outstanding Senior Award for Musical Theatre at ECU.
Jenna Arthurs got the Outstanding Senior Award for Dance Performance at ECU.
Kourtney Timm got the Outstanding Senior Award for Dance Education at ECU.

We also tip our hat to percussionist Michael Harris, Northwood class of 2007, who is graduating from UNC Greensboro Magna Cum Laude in music education.

Congratulations to Northwood Arts students and faculty.  We salute you and are proud to be a patron of Northwood Arts.
